Week of Workouts

Word of the Day: Jentacular (adj.) – of or pertaining to a breakfast taken early in the morning I workout a lot. Practically everyday of the week, except for the days when I’m feeling extra lazy and don’t want to do anything except sit on the couch and plays Sims. I feel like a lot of people get bored of working out because they don’t know what to do. I know that’s how I feel sometimes. Somedays I’m like “ugh another run I guess…” I’ve been trying to be better about switching up my workouts daily so I don’t get too bored. I thought I…

Holiday Gift Guide: Fitness Addict

Another gift guide today! Since it’s Fit Friday, what better way to celebrate than to do a fitness guide? Enjoy. AirPods Pro: I recently got my first pair of AirPod Pros after years of the Bose bluetooth headphones and… I love them! They’re not the most comfortable things, but the noise canceling is awesome and the fact that there’s no chord is awesome. Plus, the case is a charging case, so no more dead headphones. Bala Bangles: These blew up once COVID hit because everyone started working out at home. Basically, they’re 1-2 lb. weights you put on wrists or ankles and workout with them…

Fit Friday: Different Types of Workouts

Quote of the day: “If you’re tired, do it tired.” Variety in all aspects in life is great, including working out. Not only does changing your workout day-to-day help alleviate boredom, it also helps make sure all your muscles are being trained and you are able to become a well-rounded athlete. A lot of people focus on either cardio or strength training, which is great, but there’s so much more out there. I know I’ve definitely had my long streaks of only doing cardio every singly day and nothing else. I guess I just didn’t know there was more variety. If you’re new to working…

Fit Friday: Daily Workout

Quote of the Day: “Sweat is just fat crying.” LOL that quote is very funny. Thanks Drew for sharing it with me. I’ve decided to dedicate Fridays to fitness related posts. I don’t know how long that’ll keep up, but for now, you know what you’ll be getting each Friday. To start off, I’m going to share every active thing I did yesterday (Thursday, September 17, 2020). Staying active in times like these is the only thing that keeps me sane. Plus, when you’re sitting and working all day, it’s very important to get your body moving whenever you get the chance. 7:30-8:30 am: Morning…

Quick & Effective Workout Circuit

Quote of the Day: “Aim for progress, not perfection.” When I first started working out, I had no clue what to do. I would step foot in the gym, but not really do anything except run on the treadmill or do the elliptical. My mom then advised me with some easy, quick, and effective workouts to do to gain some strength and work my whole body. She told me to pick exercises that target your legs, arms, core, and heart and create a circuit out of it. So I did that. Ever since then, I would create random circuits that were really effective. Today, I’m going…
