My Impossible List

Quote of the Day: “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Have you ever heard of the impossible list? No? Well, good… allow me to introduce you to it. Prior to a few days ago, I’d never heard of the impossible list either until my friend Erin sent me this link. The impossible list was created by Joel Runyon (his name reminds me of my anatomy professor) who was craving more challenge in life. The list helped him go from living in his parents basement to running two businesses. Joel really emphasizes that the impossible list is NOT a bucket list. From my understanding, a bucket list is just a list…

Interviewing into the Real World: Nayelli

Quote of the Day: “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” Today’s interview is with my friend Nayelli. Nayelli and I became friends in a biology class we took over the summer. The class was absolute hell, but having her in it made it so much more bearable. After that class, we took General Chemistry Lab and Organic Chemistry together…both awful, but somewhat hysterical since we were together. Let’s just say we both struggled hard especially in Organic Chemistry. There were a few moments of panic, but everything worked out haha! I am so happy Nayelli agreed to do this interview…

Travel Diary: Maui (Day 1,2, & 3)

Hawaii in November?  Unheard of in my family…except we just went! We typically go to Hawaii in the Summer and have also gone a few times during Spring, but never in November. It was such a different experience…GREAT different. I have been going to Hawaii with my family since I was in diapers. I honestly think I’ve been to Hawaii more than fifteen times in my life and it’s my favorite place…specifically Maui. We’ve also been Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island, but Maui is our absolute favorite. If you haven’t been to Maui, I hope this post inspires you to go ASAP. Today, I…

How to Stay Healthy When Traveling

Staying healthy when traveling seems nearly impossible when you’re surrounded by buffets, drinks, and desserts. Honestly, how can anyone resist all of that? How can anyone stay healthy? The answer. Well when you’re with my mom, you can’t. As much as she tries and blames our overindulgence and overeating on me, it’s ALL HER… not kidding. However, luckily for all of you (except my dad…hi Shmarkit), you’re not traveling with my mom, so staying healthy might actually be a whole lot easier. Here are some of my top tips to make sure your vacation doesn’t turn into you completely falling off the health wagon. Staying…

Boston: Day 3

I’m finally posting what I did on my last day in the East Coast. It hasn’t been that long, but I did write my other posts day after day, so it seems like a while ago, if you know what I mean. Day three was not very exciting and mainly consisted of eating and traveling, but I thought I’d still share what I did. Day three:  The day started with my mom and I going to the gym…per usual. Once we got back, we did some last minute packing. Am I the only person who likes packing? I find it very therapeutical and feel like it’s some…
