Interviewing into the Real World: Nayelli

Quote of the Day: “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” Today’s interview is with my friend Nayelli. Nayelli and I became friends in a biology class we took over the summer. The class was absolute hell, but having her in it made it so much more bearable. After that class, we took General Chemistry Lab and Organic Chemistry together…both awful, but somewhat hysterical since we were together. Let’s just say we both struggled hard especially in Organic Chemistry. There were a few moments of panic, but everything worked out haha! I am so happy Nayelli agreed to do this interview…

My 22nd Birthday

I recently (November 9) turned 22 years old. I can’t believe it. How am I so old? Before I know it I’ll be 25, then 30, then 40. Oh gosh… I’m getting ahead of myself. I’m sad my birthday’s over and I have to wait a whole year! I’m such a birthday person. Today I thought I would share what I did on my birthday! 22nd Birthday I spent my birthday in Portland with my boyfriend. We started the day with some Off the Waffle. I freaking love that place (and so do both my parents). Liege waffles are seriously the best…probably because there’s so…

A Week In My Life

I just got back from visiting my boyfriend in Portland, Oregon! About a month ago Drew came to visit me in the Bay Area, so now it was my turn to visit him and have him show me all around. I honestly had the best week ever and we didn’t even fight… which is honestly surprising for us. It was the BEST! Here’s a little of what we did in Portland. Saturday I had a really early flight to Portland Saturday morning because I wanted to spend max time with Drew. When he picked me up, we went straight to his house and talked for…

Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

Flowers are probably one of the prettiest things about spring! Tulips are all over Oregon right now and I absolutely am in love. Annually, there is a tulip festival near Portland for a few months. I had never been before this year, but I’ve always wanted to go because the pictures are amazing. My friend and I decided to go since neither of us have class on Fridays. The tulip festival was amazing! I have never seen anything like it before! It is literally just a big open field of tulips. There are so many different colors and they are arranged in the most beautiful…

Travel Guide: Portland

Going to school in Eugene, Oregon can get pretty boring sometimes. Eugene is really small and honestly, there is just not too much to do; however, Portland is only 1.5 hours away! I can’t say Portland is my favorite city ever, but it is a really nice escape from Eugene. Portland has a lot of things to do and especially has a lot of different foods to try! Here are some great restaurants and drink places to check out next time you’re in Portland. Drinks: Tea Bar: Pearl Milk Tea. Boba. Tapioca Tea. I don’t really care what it is called all I know is that…
