One Year After College Graduation

Quote of the day: “The most reliable way to predict the future is to create it.” About a year ago, June 17, 2019, I graduated college. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Sitting in a sea of green, doing anything to try and stay cool, and feeling stressed about walking across the stage, praying that I don’t fall in front of the most important people in my life and hundreds of random people. Seriously, those were the only thoughts running through my head. No thoughts about what I’ve accomplished or what I’ll do next… just staying cool and not embarrassing myself. Shortly after graduation…

What I’ve Learned During Quarantine

Quote of the day: “Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.” So how many days of quarantine has it been? Let’s see here… 59 days! And yes, I did just pull up the calendar and count the days out. 59 freaking days. That’s a lot of days! The weekends and weekdays are very blurry and life just feels like someone hit a big fat “PAUSE” button. I feel like during quarantine, I’ve learned a lot or thought about a lot of different things and I am going to share some of those today. Let’s get into it. What I’ve Learned:  I am…

Interviewing into the Real World: Taylor

Quote of the Day: “Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.” Today, I’m sharing my interview with my friend Taylor. We have known each other since freaking first grade! We were basically the dynamic duo on our middle school basketball team and have been friends ever since. Taylors just can’t be separated! Introduce Yourself (school, major, job, etc.)  Hi! My name is Taylor and I am a nursing student at Seattle University. I work at Harborview which is the #1 trauma center in the region so I get to see some pretty interesting things! What made you decide on nursing? I never had that…

In A Rut…

I’ve been asked a lot recently by my family, boyfriend, and friends when I’d be posting something new on my blog. I’ve been asking myself that question a lot too and never can answer it. If I’m being completely honest, I’m totally in a rut. I thought this summer, after finishing school, I’d put all my free time (which is A LOT) into my blog and I did do that for the first two months or so. But lately, for the past month or however long it’s been, I’ve been uninspired, lazy, or lacking motivation… not sure which, maybe all three. I have multiple unfinished…

Senior Year Reflection and Graduation

I officially graduated from the University of Oregon on June 17, 2019. I cannot believe that my college career is over. It is crazy how fast four years flew by. It’s so bitter-sweet that college is over (more bitter because now I have to figure out what to do with my life). I remember starting this year and complaining practically everyday about how much I wish I could be done with school, but from the start of Spring term, I started saying how I didn’t want it all to come to an end. I’m not sure what’s next for me, but I’m excited for the…
