Reflecting on 2020 + What I’ve Learned

Quote of the day: “Your current situation is giving you an opportunity to re-evaluate what you want.” Officially four days away from 2020, the craziest year of them all. This year has gone by so slowly, yet so quickly at the same time. A part of me feels like March 2020 just happened, but another part of me feels like it was years ago. Anyone else feel the same way? I am so ready for a new year. I personally love the new year and I see it as a fresh start… although some may disagree. I do not, however, see the new year as…

Merry Christmas

Quote of the day: “I absolutely love Christmas!” What’s the quote from? Well, it’s from my favorite Christmas movie ever… Eloise at Christmastime. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. Both my parents think it is obnoxious… I think it’s fabulous. At the Plaza hotel in New York City, there’s a whole Eloise store! It’s wonderful. I just wanted to hop on here and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope everyone is surrounded by their loved one’s either physically or over Zoom. Hopefully next year we’re able to have large gatherings again! Christmas at my house feels pretty normal for the most…

Happy Thanksgiving

Quote of the Day: “There is always something to be grateful for.” Happy Thanksgiving! This year is quite different, but there is still so much to be grateful for. Although today’s Thanksgiving will be smaller and quieter than usual, my family will still be spending all day in the kitchen. My parents home cook all the dishes and it is fabulous. When I’m older, I am definitely hand making everything… even though it seems stressful as hell. On the menu today: turkey, creamed corn, potatoes au gratin, mashed potatoes & gravy, stuffing, cranberry, apple pie, and my contribution, pumpkin cheesecake. I cannot wait to PIG…

23 Things I’ve Learned at 23

Quote of the day: “Blessed to see another year.” On November 9, I turned 23! Hooray another year older… and 2 years away from a quarterly life crisis. This year has gone by so freaking fast. It honestly seems like yesterday that I was turning 22. I remember it so clearly and this year just doesn’t even seem like it happened. Today, I wanted to share some things I’ve learned from my 23 years of life. Living through a pandemic is so crazy and unlike something you’ve ever experienced. At least I hope I never experience it again. Also, don’t forget to wear your mask.…

Day in the Life: Chinese New Year

Quote of the Day: “The most wasted of all days is one without laughter!” Gong hei fat choy! Happy Chinese New Year! Not everywhere celebrates Chinese New Year, but my family does obviously because my sister and I are Chinese. We had a really great day… lots of family time and lots of FOOD! I thought I would do a little day in my life and show you what my family did on Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year The started off with a basketball game. My friend, Erin and I are coaching two basketball teams: 4th grade boys and 8th grade girls. Today, we had…
