Quote of the Day: “It’s normal to not eat perfectly.”
This quote says it all and pretty much sums up my weeks 2 and 3 on the Whole30 diet. I have for sure broken some rules on this thing, but you know, I still feel like I’m seeing some good results.
The second week was a lot harder than week one. I mean, I didn’t have any serious cravings, but I did cheat. I learned that if I don’t have a plan of what I’ll be eating, then 1. I won’t be eating or 2. I will most likely cheat or 3. I will just eat a bar (RX bars are my favorite… and they’re compliant).
I really miss eating out. While on Whole30, you don’t have too many options other than cooking your own food. Chipotle now has cauliflower rice, so that’s a compliant option. In n Out is somewhat compliant… if you don’t get a cheeseburger and say no sauce. Hmm… I can’t really think of any other restaurants that I’ve been to… that were compliant 🙂
The third week was even harder! Cravings are officially here. I’m not craving dairy or grains, but the other day, I walked by Salt and Straw and ooooohhhh babbbyyyy did I want some. Surprisingly, I abstained and remained a good girl. I really want some Thai food too… stay tuned to see if I end up breaking down. I can do it… only 10 more days… only 10 more days!
How am I feeling? I don’t notice that big of a difference, probably because I’ve had little cheats here and there, but I do feel energized throughout the whole day and never have an urge to nap. Also, I have lost some weight! I can tell just by looking at my thighs, but I’ve also weighed myself. This is making me happy… this, to me, is making it all worth it.
Looking for a way to sweeten your matcha without agave, table sugar, etc., then just blend 2 dates with your milk and add it to your matcha… SO GOOD SO SWEET.
Well, I’m in the final stretch… I really need hone in and do my best to stay on track this last week. I need to go back to the beginning and plan my meals out so I don’t find myself opening the fridge and just grabbing a date lol.
Tune back in a week or so to see how my final week on the Whole30 goes.
