Fit Friday: Daily Workout

Fit Friday: Daily Workout

Quote of the Day: “Sweat is just fat crying.”

LOL that quote is very funny. Thanks Drew for sharing it with me.

I’ve decided to dedicate Fridays to fitness related posts. I don’t know how long that’ll keep up, but for now, you know what you’ll be getting each Friday.

To start off, I’m going to share every active thing I did yesterday (Thursday, September 17, 2020). Staying active in times like these is the only thing that keeps me sane. Plus, when you’re sitting and working all day, it’s very important to get your body moving whenever you get the chance.

7:30-8:30 am: Morning Walk
I love starting the day off with a morning walk. There’s nothing more relaxing than fresh air, light breeze, and no cars. Throw in a podcast into that mix and it’s the perfect way to start the day. I usually walk for about 30 minutes – 1 hour… depending on when I wake up and how much time I have before work.

Throughout the day: Push-ups and Resistance Band Work
I get bored sitting at my desk all day + I need to get my stand ring, so I do push-ups and planks throughout the day. Sometimes, I literally do one push-up and say “well that’s good enough for now.” I’ve recently starting incorporating resistance band training into my everyday routing. I like doing side raises and squat to push-press with it.

4:00-5:00 pm: Main Part of Workout
Around 3:00pm-4:00pm is when I start thinking about the main part of my workout. Usually (well, hopefully) work is slow around now, so I like doing what I can… while of course still keeping my eye on my emails.

On this day, I did a HIIT workout by Sarah’s Day. I’ve been a fan of her workouts for awhile and when I’m really feeling like getting a tough workout in, I’ll choose one of hers. She might have some of the toughest workouts in my opinion. The workout I did is in this Youtube video:

After this HIIT workout, I wanted some nice steady cardio, so I did a 20 minute Peloton ride. I chose this “20 min Feel Good” ride with Ally Love primarily because I saw the first song was by Nicki Minaj and quite honestly, I’m a fan.

Wow, just realized I didn’t close my stand ring yesterday… that’s sad. Oh well. That’s it for the workout I did. Each day it changes, like today, I’m thinking about going on a run after work, but we’ll see if I’m too lazy. I like to change it up to keep it interesting! Let me know if you have a good workout you like and that I should try!
