A Day in the Life: Christmas Eve 2019

A Day in the Life: Christmas Eve 2019

Merry Christmas!I can’t believe the day is finally here. It’s crazy how fast this Holiday season went by…well actually every year goes by really fast, but this year felt especially fast. I woke up this morning and realized I still had a bunch of wrapping to do.

Christmas Eve is always a fun day filled with family. Today, I thought I would share what my Christmas Eve looks like.

The day started off with a lot of cooking, baking, and setting-up. My mom is a perfectionist and has to have everything look a certain way, so it takes a lot of time and effort, but it’s worth it because it does turn out really well!

Christmas Tree in my Room

My aunt, uncle, cousin, cousins wife, and sisters boyfriend all came over. We ate food, drank, and chatted. We then went to church from Christmas service. We go every single year and it is the only day of the year you’ll ever get me to go to church. I really enjoy this service because basically all we do is sing Christmas songs and it’s like a big concert. I belt out!

My Outfit: Abercrombie Top, Abercrombie Jeans, Abercrombie Cardigan, Ugg Slippers

When we got home, I immediately switched into pajamas! I have to be comfortable when I eat. Plus pajamas are way more festive. Finally it was dinner time. We had cioppino, which is a seafood stew. Apparently, it originated from San Francisco, so that’s kind of cool! After dinner, we ate my dessert! I made Tyler Florence’s Lemon Pudding Cake. It turned out pretty well I think. I didn’t try any because I’m trying to cut back on my sugar intake, but I did sneak a See’s chocolate curtesy of my sister’s boyfriend.

PJ’s: Nordstrom brand PJ Salvage

Lastly, present time. The cousins always exchange gifts (bought by the parents obviously). I received a cute t-shirt from Anthropologie and some shorts from Athleta. You can never have too many pairs of workout shorts! After everyone left, my sister and I each opened one gift. We’ve done this every year since I was young because when I was a little kid, I was always so eager to open presents! This year I opened deodorant gifted from my sister. I needed this present opened ASAP because I was completely out and you do not want to smell this girls armpits without deodorant! Gosh I’m weird. Also, this is the best natural deodorant to ever exist. I highly recommend it.

I had a great Christmas Eve spent with family! It’s always fun and entertaining getting together. Missed someone though!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas today and if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a wonderful day!
