Back with day three in New York City! This day was really fun because I got to see the one and only Erin Goode. We pretty much spent the whole day together…ew. JK.
It was chilly today…colder than the past two days. My mom and I took the subway to the Upper East Side. I love going there because it makes me feel like I’m apart of Gossip Girl or something. Boy am I obsessed with that show. The first time I went to New York, I visited a lot of the famous places that are in that show. When we got off the subway, we walked to the MET and met Erin there. If you’re visiting, I recommend getting there right when it opens because you miss the big crowds. We stayed there for about 1.5 hours. It was really cool! It reminded me of Ocean’s 8!
I was so hungry after the MET because I didn’t eat breakfast. How do people not eat breakfast? I honestly don’t understand. I would rather skip dinner than breakfast. We went to Serendipity 3 for lunch. This restaurant is on the Upper East Side, a few LONG blocks away from Central Park. While we walked there, we passed my dream hotel… THE PLAZA! Eloise anyone? Eventually we made it to Serendipity. The food is very average and expensive. I just go there for the frozen hot chocolate. I personally think it is so good. I love hot chocolate and whipped cream, but it tastes even better when it’s cold and slushy! I think everyone should go there at least once, but definitely not somewhere you HAVE to go every time.
After lunch, we quickly rushed to the Color Factory located in SOHO. The subway, once again, came in super clutch. We made it there right on time for our 2:00 pm reservation. The Color Factory is essentially a museum, I guess, with a bunch of different activities and rooms with different colors. I don’t know how else to describe it. I’m still unsure if it’s supposed to be for little kids, but I liked it. I probably wouldn’t go again, but I’m glad I got to experience it. It’s a one and done sort of thing.
For the longest time, I have wanted to walk the Brooklyn Bridge or at least see it in person. I’ve seen it in photos and it has always looked super intricate and interesting to me. I finally got to walk across it! Honestly, it’s so cool! I like it better than the Golden Gate Bridge. We also got super lucky with the weather. It was so sunny and not too cold!
We ended the day with more ICE CREAM! I’ve actually never eaten so much ice cream in one day. We went to Milk Bar in SOHO. I’ve seen so many photos of this place on Instagram and Pinterest, so I really wanted to go. Erin’s friend also recommended going. I didn’t think it was that good. I got the cereal milk soft serve with sprinkles. I liked the sprinkles, but the ice cream was meh. I prefer McDonald’s soft serve. Erin got some sort of cookie and some pie. Did she like it? IDK. Maybe she’ll comment down below and let us all know!
The last day of New York was a great one! So glad I got to see the bestie and do so many new things. Love New York, but can only spend a few days there before it gets too much. Off to Boston I go!
