This past weekend was the last weekend of the term…thank the lord, so my roommate and I stupidly decided to take a spontaneous trip to Seattle. It was so worth it, but it was super dumb for two reasons: one, we have finals this week and two, we were there for around 24 hours only…but YOLO right? I hate myself for writing “YOLO.” I’ve now been to Seattle 5 times and it has easily become one of my favorite cities. I could definitely see myself living there… I just wish it didn’t rain so freaking much! Surprisingly, it didn’t rain too much when we were there, so that was a nice, little gift! Thank you Seattle!
So, I just wanted to show a few pictures from my spontaneous trip and wanted to tell you what I did! I hope you enjoy 🙂
We got to Seattle Friday evening around 5:00 pm and went straight to Chick-Fil-A. That place has the best waffle fries and sauce ever. I wish there was one closer in Oregon, but I guess it’s a good thing that there’s not. We then went to University Village to kill some time. I freaking love that mall so much. Outdoor malls are so much better than indoor malls. That mall is almost as good as the Stanford mall… but only almost. After shopping around a little bit, we met up with my two friends from middle school. It was so good seeing them. I always love catching up with friends you rarely ever see anymore. We went to Hotcakes, a delicious chocolate soufflé place! Lastly, we ended the night going to the bars to meet up with my roommates cousin! It was a really fun, long night!
The next morning, Aly and I got up really early so we could start our day as early as possible. We went to a restaurant called Lola. They have the best beignets ever…go there now! Then we had to stop at Pike’s Market, even though we’ve been many times…it’s just nice to see.
After, we shopped a little downtown. I kid you not, I low-key have a shopping problem, but hey, I didn’t buy ANYTHING. Since we did have finals, we decided we should probably do some studying, so we went to a coffee shop in Ballard, and just cranked out some work. Also in Ballard is a really cute lake…I think it’s called Green Lake. We took lots of pictures!
That was pretty much all we did. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but it was a lot for 24 hours. Also, if you’re wondering about my outfit:
- Skirt: Brandy Melville
- Sweater: Marine Layer
- Jacket: The North Face
- Shoes: Steve Madden
I hope you enjoyed reading about my little weekend. Now it’s just time to grind for three days and then officially on Christmas break. Lots more posts will be going up once I’m done with finals, so look forward to that!
