Travel Guide: Portland

Travel Guide: Portland

Going to school in Eugene, Oregon can get pretty boring sometimes. Eugene is really small and honestly, there is just not too much to do; however, Portland is only 1.5 hours away! I can’t say Portland is my favorite city ever, but it is a really nice escape from Eugene. Portland has a lot of things to do and especially has a lot of different foods to try!

Here are some great restaurants and drink places to check out next time you’re in Portland.

  • Tea Bar: Pearl Milk Tea. Boba. Tapioca Tea. I don’t really care what it is called all I know is that it is freaking delicious and I am obsessed with it. This place is so cute and so clean. Some may say it is “aesthetically pleasing.” The teas are to die for! I have had  a lot of pearl milk tea in my life, but this has got to be my favorite. I have tried the Lavender Milk Tea and the Matcha Milk Tea. Both are amazing, but the matcha has to be my favorite!
  • Tilt: Who doesn’t love a burger and some fries? I mean I don’t eat meat anymore, but if I did, I would definitely get a burger from this place. Tilt has a really cool industrial vibe and seems like the classic burger place. This is one reason I love Portland…every restaurant has its own theme! I went here recently with my friend and just got fries. We ordered a large and a regular and they did not disappoint. The amount of fries was unreal and the taste was amazing! If you are a fry addict like me, go get you some fries from Tilt.
  • Peaks Coffee: I’m not a huge coffee drinker, but I’ll go anywhere to find a cute new coffee shop and order some matcha! Peaks Coffee is a really tiny coffee shop, but it is really well decorated. I think decorating with plants makes a place seem so much more clean and adorable. The sign they have on the wall is all over Instagram and I understand why! Coffee places should be for conversation and not for technology! Lets make that a thing from now on!

I hope you found this helpful and I hope you try all three of these delicious places! Let me know if you’ve ever visited Portland and where you have eaten or enjoyed a drink.
